rushed Usually, I have a very relaxed schedule for reading the Harry Potter Books. I read the first four all at once, and wasn't spoiled at all. The last book was spoiled for me by a stupid LJ troll (on my friendsfriends list, none of you amazing people! Thanks for the spoiler cuts!) and I haven't had the motivation to finish it yet. Well, I might've just gotten the motivation. Friday, I will apparently be in the same apartment as the Spoiler King (He can't help it, he just gets excited. It's like trying to get a 3 year old to keep a birthday secret. ("Happy Birthday, Grandpa! We got you books!")). Looks like I've got a week to finish book 5 and get book 6 started. I wonder if the library has the audiobooks...
This comes at an annoying time, too. I should be getting my laptop this week, and I want to play with that! Also, I was looking for book 5 over the weekend, and I found Garth Nix's Lirael, which I had set down in frustration over Sam and had forgotten to pick it up again. (As expected, my frustrations were somewhat salved by the end of the book, and I'm sure the third book will bring everything to a conclusion.) If you like Harry Potter and aren't reading Garth Nix's books (any one of them), well... WHY NOT?

Also, I am GREEN WITH ENVY that you're getting a new laptop! Oh my God! How awesome!! When is it coming? How much did it cost? And tell me all about it!! (wait, maybe you already discussed it in an earlier post...I'm a few days behind here.)

The laptop actually came in yesterday! She's absolutely beautiful, but her cases haven't come yet, so I can't drag her around. I spent valuable reading time uninstalling millions of programs off her and playing around :) I will wax rhapsodical about her in a post, once I get some pictures of her tonight (I've been looking for a particular picture for her wallpaper, but can't find it. Ah well!)
