Yay! One of the nice things about Eric being here for two weekends in a row was that I was able to corner him into giving a firm move in date! Firm as in I'll be buying the plane ticket as soon as I get to talk to my boss, so he can't back out of it ;) I'll fly out on November 21, have Thanksgiving with his family on the 22, help him finish cleaning the house on the 23, and then we'll drive back together on the 24th! And he'll be out here to stay! I'm so excited!
So, what did we do with our two weekends together? Well, last weekend I gave him Halo3 as a late birthday gift. He finished it in two days, before he left for his business trip last week. During the week, though, his brother's family sent him Gears of War. Perfect timing! Except that he beat that in *one* day! What the heck, game companies? Where's the play time? Where's the story? Is my husband maybe a bit too gaming obsessed? (And you wonder why I have so many non-tv related hobbies ;) (Lest you think that those games were a complete waste of money (like I do), he has started the higher level on each game, and is looking forward to getting an online account to play with his friends. So, I guess there's replay value there.)

There was also baking! I made the carrot cake for my friend's birthday party (Daaaaaaan!) and some bacon muffins. Awesome idea, lousy execution. I won't link the recipe, because I think I'll find a better one before sharing. Then I baked more this weekend, but the pictures aren't off the camera yet, so you'll have to wait until tomorrow :P

Knitting happened, too! I finished the Ironwork sock! I wanted to start the second one right away, but I was reminded that Christmas is sneaking up very quickly, and maybe I should start thinking about the millions (ok, 5) of gifts I'm planning on knitting. I started a baby hoodie for the new one my brother & wife are having, but then got chocolate all over it, so it's in time out (i.e., drying.). Maybe it will be more photogenic next weekend.
Someone just brought me Skittles for making her a web form! Hooray for job perks! Now I should probably get back to work, because people have discovered that I'm actually here! And can actually do what they want! It's very fun!

What is Eric's gamertag? Mine is JimTheBeerGuy
I don't think he has a gamertag, yet, as I wouldn't let him start his online account for two days of play, but he'll probably be JOZXYQK. Unless it's taken. Silly nerds. (He'll get his account after Thanksgiving)
Did he ever call you to thank you? He really loved the game, but I think he spent the entire weekend playing it rather than calling you. Ungrateful wretch. I'll bug him about it tonight!
I don't think that's too many FPS's! If that's what you like, go for it! That's the 360's strong point, anyway. (Still, there's Eternal Sonata that I've got my eye on. Probably not a Jim game, though :)
I like FPSes but for variety's sake I should find a different kind of game to play as well.
Have you read about this Portal game included in the Orange Box? It sounds amazing.
